A reflection on faith, spiritual endurance, and the meaning of James 4:7 in relation to The Vaelerin Saga.
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." — James 4:7
The Creed of the Vaelerin Covenant—Stand, Resist, Endure—is entirely rooted in this truth. The spiritual warfare depicted in the saga is not an abstraction; it is a cinematic reflection of a reality I deeply believe in.
Resistance is not passive. It is an active, daily choice to remain faithful when compromise offers a more comfortable path. In my own life, through years of military service and personal trials, I have found that courage is rarely glamorous. True endurance is continuing when you have nothing left but the conviction that you are standing on the right side of the line.
